Meet the Staff

  My name is Veronica Medina and I have been working with kids for 30 years as a Sunday school teacher as well as in other settings. I'm so happy to be here at Light The Bay Preschool. I love coming everyday and being around the kids and seeing how they are growing day by day and seeing them develop their individual abilities and potential. I'm happy to be a part of this!

  My name is Rocio Yenches and am from Mexico. I have been working with children since 2009 when I started as an au pair and have been working in preschool classrooms for five years. I love the energy children bring and how every day is different – it makes it an adventure! I like the unity we have here at Light The Bay Preschool with the teachers as well as the children, It really is like a big family.  I look forward to seeing the children grow and mature as they continue their journey with us.

Hi I am Miriam Cisneros and I’m proud to be part of Light the Bay Preschool! I’m Mexican-American and bilingual, in both Spanish and English. I study Sociology with a minor in Early Child Development at San Francisco State. I enjoy spending time with family and friends while also exploring new locations. Working with young children truly is a journey. Light the Bay Preschool has helped me strengthen my knowledge, professionally and personally. I believe that by working together we can all create wonderful outcomes for the children and everyone else around us. 

Hello, my name is Libby, and I have been born and raised in California. I am married and the mother of two young boys. One of them is currently enrolled in the Light The Bay Preschool and he absolutely loves his time here.  

Over the years, I have invested a lot of time building experience in child development. My experience includes babysitting, working in different preschools and a head start program, as well as volunteering at churches where I worked with children. This experience has given me various beneficial and rewarding ideas regarding early childhood education. 

During this time, I have also acquired more techniques and methods to teach and mentor children in developing their social, cognitive, motor, and behavioral skills. I have developed wonderful relationships with the families, children, and other teachers throughout my years of teaching. 

At Light The Bay Preschool, I am using all this experience to be the most effective and impactful teacher I can be. I plan activities, lessons, and age appropriate curriculum for children, in different stages of their development. This is something I have loved to do for as long as I can remember, and something I am very passionate about.
